Urology Associates are pleased to be able to offer robotic-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (RALP) surgery through a new Affiliated Provider contract at Southern Cross Hospital Christchurch. The new agreement means Southern Cross insured patients will now only need to pay the standard 20% co-payment for shared cover plans, or less if fully covered.

Kevin Bax, Nick Buchan, Frank Kueppers and Peter Davidson have extensive experience in robotics and uro-oncology and are pleased that the lower cost under the new agreement will allow more patients to consider RALP as a treatment option.

Southern Cross Hospital Christchurch is one of only two hospitals in New Zealand to offer robotically-assisted surgery and in 2013 upgraded to the latest da Vinci SI robotically-assisted surgical system providing a much enhanced field of vision to the surgeon, among other advances.
